Enlisted Maidstone Kent, age 21 years & 7 days, height 5ft 4 inches, weight 150lbs, complexion fresh, blue eyes, brown hair.  Resided Sevenoaks Kent. Formerly postman.

9th September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 11th September 1914, posted 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 28th June 1915, Codford, overstaying pass from 10.00pm & remaining absent until 8.15am on 29th June, admonished, forfeits 1 days pay; 29th July 1915, posted 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st January 1916, posted 8th Battalion, & BEF; 2nd January 1916, embarked.

17th July 1919, Statement of Relatives - Father, Arthur Hollman, Church Green, Ightham, Kent; Mother, none; Brothers - Frederick William Hollman, age 33, The Bank, Ightham, Kent; Sisters - Mrs Alice May Pinkney, Church Green, Ightham, Kent.

Buried in Dranoutre Military Cemetery, Heuvelland, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, grave C 19. and commemorated on the Ightham War Memorial, brass plaque inside St Peters Church, Fen Pond Road, Ightham, Kent.
