Private Frederick Arthur BROWN, G/11822,  7th Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died of wounds, Flanders France, 3rd August 1917, age 23.

Born 14th March 1894, Chelsfield, Kent, son of Frederick Arthur Brown, (fisherman), and Florence Ellen Brown, (daughter of William Canham), of 6, Wellington Road, Pakefield, Lowestoft, Suffolk.

Educated Farnborough and Morton Road School, Lowestoft.


1911 Census - Back Street, Wenhaston, Suffolk - George Herbert Canham, head, age 47, married, children none, marshman, born Wenhaston, Suffolk; Frederick Arthur Brown, nephew, age 17, single, fisherman, born Chelsfield, Kent.


Husband of Hilda Brown, (daughter of J Boyce of Lowestoft), of Lowestoft, Suffolk, married Lowestoft.

Child - Gladys Evelyn Brown , born 20th March 1916.

Enlisted 20th January 1916, Bromley, Kent.  Resided Farnborough, Kent. 

Buried at  Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, XVII.E.12., Poperinge, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
