Enlisted Epsom, Surrey, age 22 years & 4 months, height 5ft 5¼ inches, weight 130lbs, mole beside navel. Resided 4 Cowper Avenue, Sutton, Surrey / 1 The Broadway, Sutton, Surrey / 55 St Andrews Road, Carshalton, Surrey. Formerly waterside labourer.

Home 11th December 1915 to 6th October 1916; BEF 7th October 1916 to 30th November 1917.

11th December 1915, enlisted; 12th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 7th April 1916, mobilized; 11th April 1916, posted 12th Battalion,  Royal West Surrey Regiment, Service No. G/10628; 1st September 1916, transferred to 97 Training Reserve Battalion, Service No. TR/10/32/220; 7th October 1916, transferred to Royal West Kent Regiment & posted BEF; 7th October 1916, embarked; 24th October 1916, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 5th November 1916, attended 12th Division Signals School; 30th November 1917, posted missing.

27th January 1918, Eleanor Florence Rose Hill, died at 55 St Andrews Road, Carshalton, Surrey, age 2, of broncho pneumonia, 8 days & exhaustion, mother R J Hill, present at death.

4th August 1918, date when Separation Allowance of 12/6 a week, payable to widow, will cease.

5th August 1918, pension of 13/9 a week awarded to widow.

1919, December Quarter, Blackburn Registration District, Rosa J Hill,  married John E Gibson.

27th September 1921, Rosa Jane Hill now Rosa Jane Gibson.

Commemorated at Cambrai Memorial, Panel 8., Louverval, France.
