Private Edward  COX,  L/11154, 8th  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment,  died from blood poisoning,  Prisoner of War Hospital, Konigsbruck, Germany, at 7.00pm, 13th June  1918, age 22 years & 2 months.

Born Putney, Surrey, son of Charles Benjamin & Emily Cox.

11th December 1915, enlisted; 12th December 1915, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th December 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 2nd January 1916, Chatham, having a rusty bayonet on Church Parade, 3 days confined to Barracks; 13th February 1916, Chatham, absent from Tattoo until 9.30pm, 14th February 1916, admonished, forfeits 2 days pay; 22nd February 1916, Chatham, leaving the Gymnasium without permission, not being shaved on 7.00am Parade, 3 days confined to Barracks; 13th March 1916, Chatham, not shaved on 7.00am Parade, not getting his boots mended when ordered to do so, 10 days confined to Barracks; 1st April 1916, Fort Darland, not being washed on 6.45am Parade, not complying with an order, 7 days confined to Barracks; 16th April 1916, Fort Darland, showing dirty rifle on Parade, 5 days confined to Barracks; 19th May 1916, posted BEF & 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 2nd June 1916, proceeded to join Battalion; 11th September 1916, awarded 21 days Field Punishment No.1.; 22nd March 1918, posted missing in action.
