1911 Census - "Talavera", Staines Road, Bedfont, Middlesex - Isabella Carvey, head, age 53, widow, 7 children, 5 still alive, born Northumberland; Florence Carvey, daughter, age 21, single, born Bedfont; George Carvey, son, age 19, single, horseman on farm, market gardeners, born Bedfont; Edwin Carvey, son, age 14, assistant on poultry farm, born Bedfont.
Enlisted Hounslow, Middlesex, age 19 years & 153 days, height 5ft 10 inches, weight 132lbs. Resided "Talavera", Staines Road, Bedfont, Middlesex. Formerly general labourer.
Home 29th November 1914 to 21st April 1915; BEF 22nd April 1915 to 22nd July 1916.
29th November 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 8th December 1914, posted 3rd December 1914; 22nd April 1915, posted BEF & 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 23rd April 1915, landed 5 Infantry Base Depot; 25th April 1915, joined Battalion, "B" Company; 16th February 1916, deprived of 10 days pay; 22nd July 1916, posted missing.
25th March 1917, date to which Separation Allowance of 4/3 a week & Allotment of Pay of 1/9 a week paid to mother, Isabella Carvey will cease.
Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Pier & Face 11C, Somme, France.
