Postings - Home, 4th November 1915 to 2nd May 1916; BEF, 3rd May 1916 to 22nd October 1916; Home, 23rd October 1916 to 18th March 1918; IBD, 19th March 1918 to 7th April 1919; Home, 8th April 1919 to 10th April 1919.
20th February 1916, Aldershot, overstaying his pass from 11.59pm until apprehended by the Civil Police at Peckham at 7.am on 24th, deprived 4 days pay, 7 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 4 days pay; 17th March 1916, Aldershot, leaving the range without permission & stating a falsehood, 10 days confined to Barracks; 16th May 1916, Aldershot, neglect of duty when in charge of signals office, Field Punishment No.2. for 7 days; 11th December 1916, Rochester, deserted; 8th January 1917, rejoined Battalion from Desertion; 9th January 1917, awarded 21 days detention for absence and forfeits 28 days pay; 12th January 1917, to Detention Barracks at Fort Clarence; 22nd March 1917, Belvedere, absent from Tattoo, 5 days confined to Barracks; 11th May 1917, Belvedere, not complying with an order, 2 days confined to Barracks; 14th June 1917, Belvedere, not complying with Battalion order, altering trousers, 3 days confined to Barracks and pays for trousers; 23rd June 1917, Belvedere, not complying with an order, 3 days confined to Barracks; 24th July 1917, overstaying his leave, 28 days field punishment, forfeits 19 days pay; 26th August 1917, absent until apprehended by Civil Police at Newington about 12 noon on 11th September; 11th September 1917, rejoined Battalion; 12th September to 16th September 1917, awaiting trial; 17th September 1917, tried by Court Martial, for When on Active Service, absenting himself without leave & When on Active Service, escaping from a warder whilst in custody undergoing Field Punishment, sentenced to 6 months detention; 31st October 1917 to 8th February 1918, Connaught Hospital, Aldershot, dermatitis connected with scabies, inflammation of lymphatic glands & influenza; 21st February 1918, released from Detention Barracks at Aldershot & escorted to his Regiment.
22nd October 1916, put under observation, to England Hospital Ship, LanFranc ex 3rd General Hospital Le Treport; 24th August 1918, wounded at Duty.
10th April 1919, Transferred to Reserve & Discharged to 147 Farriers Road, Camberwell, London.
