Born Hollington, St Leonards, Sussex, son of *Charles and Isabella Marchant, of 6 Parker Road, Mount Pleasant, Hastings, Sussex.

*1910 June, Hastings Registration District, died age 58.

29th September 1915, Hastings, Sussex, medical, fit for Service in the Field at home and abroad; 12th October 1915, enlisted Royal Sussex Regiment; 20th October 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment, Service No.11004; 26th September 1916, Etaples, 40 Infantry Base Depot; 8th October 1916, transferred to Royal West Kent Regiment & posted 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; wounded in action, gun shot wound, thigh compound fracture.

Buried at St Sever Cemetery Extension, O. II. J. 6., Rouen, France.

SOLDIERS' BALANCES UNDISPOSED OF.

In pursuance of "The Regimental Debts Act, 1893," notice is hereby given that there is available for distribution amongst the Next of Kin or others entitled the sum of money set opposite to the name of each of the deceased Soldiers named in the lists which are published with this notice in the London Gazette and the "Army List," and are also to be seen at the Regimental Depots throughout the United Kingdom.

Applications from persons supposing themselves entitled as Next of Kin should be addressed by letter to "The Secretary, War Office, Imperial Institute, South Kensington, London, S. W. 7," and marked outside "Effects."
