Previously served Middlesex Regiment, Territorial Force.
Enlisted Woolwich, Kent, age 23 years & 120 days, height 5ft 8½ inches, weight 142lbs, varicose veins, both legs, scar right buttock, home service only. Resided 11 Queen Street, White Hart Lane, Tottenham, Middlesex. Formerly labourer in brewery.
Home 24th August 1915 to 1st July 1916; BEF 2nd July 1916 to 30th September 1916.
24th August 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st September 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st October 1915 to 16th November 1915, British Red Cross Society, 26th Essex VAD, Southend-on-Sea, varicose veins, both legs; 25th November 1915, forfeits 12 days pay; 7th February 1916 to 22nd February 1916, Fort Pitt, Chatham, varicose veins op, to Kent Nursing Home; 22nd February 1916 to 28th March 1916, Kent Nursing Trust?, Tunbridge Wells, wounds quite healed; 5th May 1916, awarded 14 days Field Punishment No.2. by Commanding Officer for ??? insubordinate ???? to an NCO; 2nd July 1916, posted BEF / embarked / Infantry Base Depot; 13th July 1916, posted 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.
10th December 1919, letter from Brother Pte H Dixon, (KORL Regiment), 6 Terrace Cottages, White Hart Lane, Tottenham, Middlesex, enquiring about his brothers will & property.
Buried at Connaught Cemetery, XI. C. 7., Thiepval, Somme, France.
