25th December 1915, Sheffield, Yorkshire, married Florence Platts, (remarried now Banks), 440 Greenland Road, Darnall, Sheffield, Yorkshire.

Enlisted Sheffield, Yorkshire, age 34 years & 2 months, height 5ft 2¼ inches, scar left knee.  Resided 133 Arundel Street, Sheffield, Yorkshire. Formerly hawker.

Home 14th September 1915 to 2nd May 1916; BEF 3rd May 1916 to 7th October 1916.

14th September 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 18th September 1915, posted 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 7th October 1916, posted missing.

24th June 1917, date when Separation Allowance of 9/- a week & Allotment of Pay of 3/6 a week will cease.

25th June 1917, pension of 13/9 a week awarded to widow.

Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Pier & Face 11C, Somme, France.
