Private Alfred William PARNELL, G/38702, 7th Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died of wounds, Flanders France, 23rd August 1918.

Born Ware, Hertfordshire.

1908 December, Ware Registration District, married Daisy Player.

Children - Alfred Thomas Parnell, born 9th January 1915.

Enlisted Hertford, Hertfordshire.

1920 September, Ware Registration District, Daisy Parnell married Frederick Swann.

Buried at Daours Communal Cemetery Extension, VI. C. 5., France. Commemorated on Ware, Hertfordshire War Memorial.

NOTE: Both Regimental History & Soldiers Died in the Great War show Service No. as G/38702; CWGC web shows it as 38072.
