8th January 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th January 1915, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 30th August 1915, embarked; 4th November 1915, wounded, gun shot wound to head, 10 Casualty Clearing Station; 6th November 1915, 72 Field Ambulance; 7th November 1915, Canadian Hospital; 8th December 1915, to England on Hospital Ship, Stad Antwerpen; 8th December 1915, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 9th December 1915 to 3rd March 1916, St Georges Hospital, London,  gun shot wound head (right parietal); 10th March 1916 to 18th August 1916, convalescence; 11th August 1916, posted 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st September 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th September 1916, Infantry Base Depot.
