Service Squadron, 21st Lancers; 14th September 1917, Rouen, transferred to Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th September 1917, posted 10th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th November 1917, proceeded to Italy; 3rd January 1918, Italy, 39 Casualty Clearing Station, pleurisy; 8th January 1918, Italy, 30th Stationary Hospital, pleurisy; 6th February 1918, Marseilles, transferred to England ex 57 General Hospital, tuberculosis; 6th February 1918, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 27th March 1918, discharged, not longer fit for War Service due to sickness. Awarded Silver War Badge.
