10th December 1915, enlisted; 10th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 8th May 1916, rejected by Medical Board as unfit; 8th February 1917, mobilized; 12th February 1917, posted 2/4th Battalion, The Buffs; 23rd September 1917, disembarked; 24th September 1917, Etaples, 38 Infantry Base Depot; 26th September 1917, transferred to 10th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st October 1917, joined Battalion, In the Field; 14th November 1917, proceeded to Italy; 2nd March 1918, to France.

11th June 1920, Statement of Relatives - Widow, Louisa Pearce, 2 Heathfield Road, Riverhead; Children - Kathleen Pearce, born *15th November 1916; Father, none; Mother, none; Brothers - William John Pearce, age 39, 106 Chesterton Road, North Kensington, London W10; Sisters - Emily Coleman, age 44, 118 High Street, Wandsworth, London.  *Pension Records & Birth Index shows year of birth as 1915.

4th? October? 1918?, pension of 20/5 a week awarded to widow and one child.

Buried at Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, IX. A. 55., France.

NOTE: Regimental History and Soldiers Died in the Great War both show rank as Private; CWGC web site shows rank as Corporal.
