9th September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th September 1914, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 28th November 1914, Shoreham, absent from 1.00pm until 12.00 midnight 29th November, when warned for guard, 8 days confined to Camp, 2 extra guards; 16th April 1915, Redhill, absent from Parade at 8.00am, absent from Company Orderly Room at 6.00pm, absent from 7.00am 17th April 1915, until 5.45am 19th April 1915, deprived of 6 days pay, 10 Days confined to Barracks, forfeits 3 days pay; 25th June 1915, Blackdown Camp, absent from Tattoo until 9.30pm on 27th June 1915, deprived of 3 days pay, 10 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 3 days pay; 31st July 1915, Blackdown Camp, overstaying his pass, from Tattoo until Reveille, 4th August 1915, deprived of 5 days pay, 15 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 5 days pay; 30th August 1915, posted BEF; 26th September 1915, posted missing.
