2nd September 1914, enlisted; 5th September 1914, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th December 1915, to Base Depot for testing by Munitions Commission; 31st December 1915, Etaples, transferred to England, for munition work; 2nd January 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 7th February 1916, employed at Messrs Armstrong Whitworth & Co, Walker on Tyne;
5th July 1918, Medical Board - present condition, obviously in a hopeless state, profound anemia, large quantity of albumen in urine, aortic & mitral murmurs, confined to bed. Disablement 100%. Permanently unfit for any kind of military duty;
26th July 1918, discharged not longer fit for Service, physically unfit.
27th July 1918, pension of 27/6 a week awarded for 65 weeks to 28th October 1919, Final. Disablement 100%.
9th December 1918, Probate - Carnochan Alexander Bryce, of 30 Rocky Bank Road, Tranmere, Birkenhead engine fitter, died 15th September 1918, Administration (with will), Chester 9th December to Alexander Carnochan retired marine engineer. Effects £134 6s 3d.
Buried at Birkenhead (Flaybrick Hill) Cemetery, 6. N.C. 475., United Kingdom.
