Lieutenant Harold Belfit HILL, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment,  attached R.A.F. No.26, Training Depot Station, Edzell, died in an air crash,  Montrose, Scotland, 6th  September 1918 while flying Avro 504A B4352, age 24.  Second Lieutenant E B Mathews was also in the aeroplane when it crashed and was injured.

Son of William & Katherine Hill, of Polesworth, Warwickshire.

* 2nd Lieutenant Arthur Moberly Hill, North Somerset Yeomanry, attached Somerset Light Infantry, killed in the battle of Arras, 9th April 1917, age 22.

Lieutenant William Reginald Hill, MC & Bar, Durham Light Infantry, died as a Prisoner of War in Germany, 6th November 1918, age 22.

Served as Corporal, in Royal Medical Corps, Service No. 41749; 31st March 1915, Egypt; 14th September 1915, Commissioned.

1st December 1918, Probate - Hill Harold Belfit, of The Briars, Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Lieutenant in The Royal West Kent Regiment, and the R.A.F. died 6th September 1918 at Edzell, Forfarshire. Administration Birmingham to William Hill, Managing Director of a Company; Effects £33 9s 5d.

Buried at  St Editha, Churchyard, East of Church, Polesworth, Warwickshire, United Kingdom.
