5th April 1893, born Lewisham, son of Henry and Jessie Poland, of "Sunnybank," The Drive, Sevenoaks, Kent.

14th August 1914, Commissioned; 19th December 1914, posted BEF; 18th April 1915, posted missing.

9th September 1915, Probate - Henry Arthur Poland of Charleville Street, Botolphs Road, Sevenoaks, Kent, died 18th April 1915, at Hill 60, near Ypres in Belgium on Active Service. Administration London 9 September to Henry Poland, skin merchant. Effects £230.

Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47, Belgium /  Sevenoaks War Memorial / St Marys, Kippington, Kent.
