Lance Corporal William KIRBY, G/2863, 8th  Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action, Flanders France, 17th June 1916, age 24.  

Born St Georges, Middlesex, son of William and Elizabeth Kirby, of Stratford, East  London.

His brother Timothy also fell.

Enlisted Stratford, Essex. 

30th August 1915, posted BEF.

Next of Kin (Sister)  - Miss Catherine Kirby, c/o Mrs Pelotts, 15 Fletcher Buildings, Bow Street, London WC2.

Buried at Dranoutre Military Cemetery, II. E. 6., Belgium.

Private Timothy Kirby, 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, Service No.7970. died 9th November 1915, age 35. Buried at Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, I.C.44. Nord, France.
