28th August 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 4th September 1915, posted 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th February 1916, posted  & 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 17th February 1916, embarked Devonport; 23rd March 1916, disembarked Busra; 30th March 1916, Nasiriyah, joined Battalion in the Field; 9th June 1916, Khanesingh?, admitted to hospital, PUO; discharged to Duty; 23rd October 1916, Khanesingh?, admitted to hospital; 6th December 1916, Basra, transferred sick to India, Hospital Ship Syria; 6th February 1917 to 10th February 1917, Poonawalla Hospital, malaria, 20 examinations of faeces and urine for enterica, negative, certified a non carrier; 18th August 1917, posted Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force, embarked Bombay; 24th August 1917, Basra, disembarked; 20th September 1917, Baghdad, admitted 16 Casualty Clearing Station, sand fly fever; 26th September 1917, transferred to Convalescent Depot; 9th October 1917, discharged to Rest Camp; 18th October 1917, joined Battalion in the Field; 12th March 1918, present with Unit; 28th April 1918, Karradah, ???? School, joined 7th Battalion, demonstration; 10th September 1918, appointed unpaid Lance Corporal.
