Child of Soldier, William Carson, born 25th July 1914, Bonnybridge, Sterlin, mother unmarried & deceased.  Guardian of Child, Mrs Margaret Carson, 26, Banknock Terrace, Dennyloanhead, Scotland.

Enlisted Stirling, Scotland, age 25, height 5ft 9 inches, weight 11 stones.  Resided 4 Banknock Terrace, Dennyloanhead, Scotland. Formerly miner.

6th January 1915, enlisted; 7th January 1915, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th January 1915, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 29th May 1915, Shoreham, overstaying his pass from 12.00 midnight until 11.30pm on 30th, 10 days confined to Barracks, deprived of 3 days pay, forfeits ?? days pay; 22nd December 1915, appointed unpaid Lance Corporal; 22nd December 1915, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 10th April 1916, appointed Acting Corporal.

SOLDIERS' BALANCES UNDISPOSED OF.

In pursuance of "The Regimental Debts Act, 1893," notice is hereby given that there is available for distribution amongst the Next of Kin or others entitled the sum of money set opposite to the name of each of the deceased Soldiers named in the lists which are published with this notice in the London Gazette and the "Army List," and are also to be seen at the Regimental Depots throughout the United Kingdom.

Applications from persons supposing themselves entitled as Next of Kin should be addressed by letter to "The Secretary, War Office, Park Buildings, St. James's Park, London, S.W.," and marked outside "Effects."
