Son of Elizabeth Horsman, 5 Calydon? Road, Victoria Road, Old Chilton? Two brothers & a sister.
Home, 2nd DEcember 1908 to 10th December 1909; India, 11th December 1909 to 31st January 1915; Indian Expeditionary Force, 1st February 1915 to 16th September 1915; India, 17th September 1915 to 7th November 1915; Home, 8th November 1915 to 27th June 1916.
2nd December 1908, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th December 1908, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 11th December 1909, posted 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 24th October 1913, appointed unpaid Lance Corporal; 10th October 1914, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 21st January 1915, employed for 4 months, Garrison Cantonment, Police Karachi; 24th July 1915, dangerously wounded, gun shot wounds right & left arms, fractured both forearms; 21st February 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment.
27th June 1916, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued
