Lance Corporal Percy Edward ELDRIDGE,  G/7267, 1st  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment,   killed in action, Flanders France, 27th October 1914, age 30.

Born Cranbrook, Kent, son of Edward Frederick and Esther Eldridge.

Husband of Agnes Isabel Eldridge, (nee Henderson), of I, Horsey Bank, Eastbourne, Sussex, married July 1908, Dover Registration District.


1911 Census - Holly Bank,  Hill Top, Marple, Cheshire - Percy Edward Eldridge, head, age 28, married, groom chauffeur, domestic, born Sissinghurst, Kent; Agnes Isabel Eldridge, wife, age 30, married 4 years, 3 children, all still alive, born Tovil, Kent; Donald Edward J? Eldridge, son, age 1 years, 6 months, born Dover, Kent; Jack Stewart M Eldridge, son, age 2 months, born Marple, Cheshire.


Enlisted  Canterbury, Kent.

15th August 1914, posted BEF.

Commemorated at Le Touret Memorial, Panel 30 and 31., Pas de Calais, France.
