Lance Corporal John BOGGON, L/10018, 6th Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died of wounds, Canadian General Hospital, Le Treport, France, at 7.15am on 13th July 1916, age 22.

Born Deptford, Kent, son of John & Hannah Boggon, 64 Crossfield Street, Deptford.

1916, March Quarter, Camberwell District, married Annie Hopkins, of 51, Lower Park Road, Peckham, London.

Enlisted New Cross, Kent, age 18, height 5ft 3½ inches. Formerly foundry labourer.

13th November 1912, enlisted; 6th March 1913 to 11th March 1913, Maidstone Hospital, influenza; 12th August 1915 to 28th September 1915, Lewisham Military Hospital, JCT feet, from friction of boots; 4th April 1916, joined Battalion; 3rd June 1916, 36 Field Ambulance, dent cavies?; 3rd June 1916, 33 Casulaty Clearing Station, dent cavies?; 7th June 1916, to Duty; 13th July 1916, Canadian General Hospital, Le Treport, reports, dangerously ill, shrapnel left knee & fractured femur, may be visited, follow usual procedure case at public expense.

15th January 1917, pension of 10/- a week awarded to widow.
