Lance Corporal Henry George HOADLEY,  TR/10/40431, 99th Training Reserve Battalion,   (formerly G/12110, 12th Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment,), died in Connaught Hospital, Aldershot13th December 1916, age 24.

27th April 1894, born Speldhurst, Kent, son of Samuel & Mary Ann Hoadley.

Enlisted Tunbridge Wells, Kent, age 23 years, 229 days, height 5ft 5½, weight 130lbs. Resided 56 Lower Green Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent / 6 Pauls Street, Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Formerly gardener.

11th December 1915, enlisted; 9th February 1916, called up; 5th September 1916 to 26th October 1916, Connaught Hospital, Aldershot, pleurisy, probably tuberculosis, no evidence at present, mild work only for at least 3 months, needs watching; 20th November 1916, Aldershot, absent from 6.25am Parade (rations), admonished; 8th December 1916 to 13th December 1916, Connaught Hospital, Aldershot, double pneumonia.

1st July 1916, Parish Church, Speldhurst, married Harriet Hawkins, 2 Blowers Hill, Speldhurst, Kent. 4th January 1917, Separation Allowance 9/- a week, Allotment of Pay 3/6 a week; 10th April 1917, request from widow to have allowance of 12/6 a week payable at Post Office, Devonshire Road, Bexhill on Sea, Sussex, widows address new 17 Colebrooke Road, Bexhill on Sea, Sussex; 9th July 1917, pension of 13/9 a week awarded to widow; Died1921, June Quarter, Tonbridge Registration District.1921, June Quarter, Tonbridge Registration District.

Buried at Speldhurst (St Mary) Churchyard, 1003, Speldhurst, Kent.
