Son of Henry Charles & Caroline Durden, 59 Bellenden Road, Peckham, SE.
Postings - Home, 19th August 1914 to 31st May 1915; BEF 1st June 1915 to 26th September 1918; Leave to UK, 27th September 1918 to 11th October 1918; BEF, 12th October 1918 to 10th February 1919.
Appointed Lance Corporal 9th October 1915.
Wounded 5th August 1916, shell wound, ear and right arm; 7th October 1916, gun shot wound left leg.
Transferred to Reserve, 12th March 1919. Demobilized 31st March 1920, to 59 Bellenden Road, Peckham, SE.
AWARDS: MM
