Boy G Allen, to have him transferred to the battalion under my command from the 2nd Battalion, from which he was enlisted. Boy Allen is at present serving under me at Dublin. The under mentioned three boys have volunteered to proceed to India in Boy Allen's place is the exchange is authorized, and I strongly recommend that one of them be accepted if you have no objections. I would add that the 2nd Battalion would in no way suffer by the exchange as the three boys offered  in exchange are more or less trained musicians, whereas Boy Allen is quite raw.
