Born Stoke-by-Nayland, Suffolk.

14th September 1903, enlisted  Maidstone, Kent. Formerly glass bottle maker.

Husband of Amy Eliza Ellis, of 60, Oswald Road., Buckland, Dover, Dover.

15th August 1914, posted BEF; 26th August 1914, wounded; 12th September 1914, body found; died between 26th August 1914 & 12th September 1914.

Commemorated at La Ferte-sous-Jouarre Memorial, Seine-et-Marne, France.
