Formerly served in "H" Company,  4th Royal West Kent Regiment, Territorial Force, Service No.1518, from 10th July 1913 to 31st December 1913, 174 days. Enlisted 10th July 1913, age 18 years, height 5ft 7¼ inches, fresh complexion, blue eyes, light brown hair, 4 vaccination marks, left upper arm. Outfitters assistant in the employ of Mr Bell, Westerham. Character good.

Enlisted  Westerham, Kent, age 18 years & 114 days, height 5ft 7¼ inches, 129lbs, fresh complexion, blue eyes, light brown hair, slight bow leg, 3 moles right groin, mole right side of neck. Formerly outfitters assistant.
