Husband of Ada Ward (nee Martin), 97 Windmill Lane, Deptford. Married 3rd February 1907, Christ Church, Bermondsey.

Children - Rose Ada Ward, born 11th May 1907, Bermondsey; Ellen Frances Ward, born 23rd October 1918, Bermondsey; William John Ward, born 2nd March 1911, Deptford.

Home, 16th January 1915 to 10th March 1915; BEF, 11th March 1915 to 5th September 1916; Home, 6th September 1916 to 29th December 1916; BEF, 30th December 1916 to 12th March 1918; 3rd to 17th November 1918, leave to UK.

30th May 1915, wounded, gun shot wound to neck; 31st August 1916, wounded gas; 30th March 1917, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 30th June 1917, transferred to Labour Corps;

October 1920, residing at 9 Dockley Road, Bermondsey.
