1911 Census - Otford, Kent - John King, head, age 56, married, farm worker, employee, born yalding, Kent; Jane King, wife, age 55, married 37 years, 4 children, all still alive, born *hadow, Kent; Charles King, son, age 18, worker, born #Pembrey, Kent.        * Hadlow? # Pembury?

Enlisted Sevenoaks, Kent, age 19 years & 2 months, height 5ft 7⅜ inches, weight 125lbs, scar on left hand.  Resided Otford, Kent. 

Home, 18th January 1913 to 13th August 1914; BEF, 14th August 1914 to 10th April 1915.

18th January 1913, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th May 1916, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment;

Commemorated at  Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47, Belgium & Otford War Memorial.
