Corporal Walter MORPHETT, G/5006, 2nd  Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died, of malaria at Baghdad, with the Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force, 22nd October 1918.

Enlisted 16th December 1914, Tonbridge, Kent. 

21st April 1915, posted BEF; wounded at Hill 60 and invalided home; 16th December 1915, proceeded to Mesopotamia.


Buried at Baghdad (North Gate) War Cemetery, XIV. K. 12., Iraq. Commemorated on Pembury War Memorial.
