30th September 1916, wounded in  knee; 29th September 1918, shrapnel wound left thigh

Appointed unpaid Lance Corporal, 11th March 1916; BEF France, 3rd May 1916; promoted acting Corporal, 16th June 1917; appointed Acting Sergeant, 25th August 1917; demobilized 8th March 1919 to  Gringly Cottage, Butlers Lane, Four Oaks, Sutton Coalfield; September 1921, Butlers Lane, Four Oaks, Birmingham.

Disability pension (30% disability, gun shot wound to thigh), of 9/9 a week awarded from 9th March 1919.
