18th October 1915, enlisted & posted 3/1 West Kent Yeomanry, Service No.2097; 20th January 1916, appointed paid Acting Lance Corporal; 16th May 1916, appointed Acting Corporal;  20th December 1916, embarked / disembarked; 20th December 1916, Infantry Base Depot, France, reverts to Private; 21st December 1916, transferred to 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st December 1916, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 29th April 1917, joined Battalion, "C" Company; 19th July 1917, appointed unpaid Lance Corporal; 6th October 1917, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 3rd November 1917, appointed Acting Corporal; 12th December 1917, with Battalion to Italy; 5th January 1918, In the Field, losing by neglect his identity discs, pay for deficiencies; 12th January 1918, promoted Corporal; 1st April 1918, returned to France with Battalion; 16th May 1918, Boulogne, 7 Stationary Hospital, P.U.O.; 4th June 1918, Boulogne, 7 Convalescent Depot, P.U.O.; 14th June 1918, Etaples, "J" Depot; 27th June 1918, rejoined Battalion; 7th July 1918 to 21st July 1918, leave to UK.

9th March 1919, date when Separation Allowance of 19/6 a week will cease.

10th March 1919, pension of 21/8 a week awarded to widow & one child.
