Enlisted 31st August 1914, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, age 27. height 5ft 7 inches. Formerly self employed fruiterer.

Postings - Home, 31st August 1914 to 31st May 19105; BEF, 1st June 1915 to 8th April 1918; Home, 9th April 1918 to 30th March 1919.

Husband of Mrs E Jenner (nee Martin), 32 Colebrook Road, High Brooms, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Married 8th May 1910, St Matthews, Southborough, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Children - Cissie Elizabeth Jenner, born 29th November 1911, Tonbridge, Kent; Henry George Jenner, born 14th December 1912, Tonbridge, Kent.

Discharged 30th March 1919.

Disability of 30% then 20%, (bronchial catarrh, cardiac debility after gas); weekly pension of 7/- awarded from 31st March 1919 for 26 weeks then 6/- for 26 weeks from 1st October 1919, conditional; allowance for two children 3/6 then 2/4. Daily pension of 6d for DCM from 31st March 1919, for as long as disablement pension continues.

His  Majesty The KING EMPEROR has been graciously pleased to approve of the under mentioned Rewards to Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Men of the Indian Army, for gallantry and devotion to duty whilst serving with the Indian Army Corps in France and Flanders.

AWARDED THE DISTINGUISHED CONDUCT MEDAL

657 Private G. Jenner, 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

London Gazette 11th March 1916

For conspicuous gallantry. Serjeant Cresswell, under heavy fire, brought in an officer and a man of another regiment who were entangled in the wire. Later, with Private Jenner, he went out three times to rescue the wounded. The enemy's trenches were about 70 yards away and were firing heavily.

His Majesty the KING has been graciously pleased to approve of the award of the Military Medal for bravery in the Field to the under mentioned Warrant Officers, Non-commissioned Officers and Men:
