Born Swilland, Colchester, Essex, son of Robert Brewster, High Street, Sevenoaks, Kent.

Enlisted Green Street Green, Kent, age 18, height 5ft 2¾ inches, hazel eyes, light brown hair, weight 118lbs. Resided New Kent Road, SE. Formerly butcher.
