Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Pier & Face 11C, Somme, France.

AWARDS: MM - Corporal Blackman was awarded the Military Medal & a parchment signed by Major-General Maxse for brave & gallant conduct and devotion to duty in the fight at Trones Wood on 13th July 1916. An officer wrote: "A straightforward clean living man who had the interests of his country at heart and carried out his duties as a soldier and a man."
