Husband of Minnie Maria Addington, (nee Wale), 55 Tustin Street, Old Kent Road, SE. Married 27th August 1905, St Bartholomew's, Camberwell.

Children - Violet Lilian Addington, born 6th March 1909, Camberwell; Alexander George Addington, born 10th October 1910; William Walter Addington, born 8th May 1912, Camberwell; Thomas Edwin/Edward Addington, born 26th September 1913, Bermondsey; Gladys May Addington, born 27th October 1914, Camberwell, died 7th March 1916, age 16 months, Evelina Hospital, bronchial pneumonia.

Home, 28th August 1914 to 31st May 1915; BEF, 1st June 1915 to 15th November 1915; Home, 16th November 1915 to 9th November 1916.

28th August 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd September 1914, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 10th September 1914, appointed Lance Corporal; 5th December 1914, promoted Acting Corporal; 5th December 1914, promoted  Corporal; 17th April 1915, Aldershot, overstaying his pass from Tattoo till 10.50pm on 19th, severely reprimanded, forfeits 3 days pay; 15th October 1915, wounded, gun shot wound, severe; 15th November 1915, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th October 1916, 4th Northern General Hospital, Lincoln.

9th November 1916, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued

Pension 27/- a week for 6 months conditional.
