Captain Arthur Cecil BEEMAN, 1st  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action, at Neuve Chapelle, France, 26th October 1914, age 45.

16th September 1870 born Tunbridge Wells, Kent, second son of Henry John and Agnes Mary Beeman, of Northfield, Langton, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

20th September 1899, Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant, Royal West Kent Regiment; June 1900, promoted Lieutenant; May 1902, promoted Captain; served in the South African War, 1899-1902, taking part in the operations in Cape Colony 1902, (Queens Medal with two Clasps); also with the Expeditionary for in France and Flanders.

Commemorated at   Le Touret Memorial, Panel 30 & 31, Pas de Calais, France.
