Born Kentish Town, London, NW.

Previously 8 years with the Colours, Royal West Kent Regiment, 4 years in the Reserve. 16th May 1898 to 15th May 1910

Enlisted  Marylebone, NW, age 34 years & 8 months, height 5ft 3 inches, weight 125lbs, complexion fresh, grey eyes, light hair.  Resided 13 Livingston Road, Westbourne Park, W. Formerly carman.

Home 9th September 1914 to 29th August 1915; BEF 30th August 1915 to 26th September 1915.

9th September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th September 1914, posted Sergeant, 5th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment;  5th February 1915, promoted Warrant Office 2nd Class and promoted to CSM; 26th September 1915, posted wounded and missing.

3rd August 1919, Statement of Relatives - completed by eldest brother, William A Camplin - Brother, William Alfred Camplin, age 52,  25 Thackeray Avenue, Bruce Grove, Tottenham; Sister, Mrs Minnie Didd, age 37, 31 Chamberlayne Mansion, Harrow Road, London.

Commemorated at  Loos Memorial, Panel 95 to 97, Pas de Calais, France.
