Formerly Private / Sergeant 20th London Regiment, Service No. 1778 & 630423, enlisted 1914.

9th March 1917, Probate - Carter Stephen Charles, of Bromley Road, Catford, Kent, Second Lieutenant Royal West Kent Regiment, died 19th November 1916, in France on Active Service. Administration (with will), London 9th March to Mary Anne Carter, (wife of Arthur Alfred Carter). Effects £169 18s 5d.

Commemorated at  Thiepval, Pier & Face 11C, Somme, France & on the War Memorial, St Dunstan's College & in the pages of The History of the Old Dunstonians Rugby Football Club.
