Second Lieutenant Leonard EDMONDS, attached 2nd/4th  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action, 3rd November 1917.

Son of  James Henry & Sarah Edmonds, of 134, Coleraine Road., Blackheath, London.

Prior to Commission, 1/5th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, Acting Corporal, Service No.2024.

31st May 1916, posted Egyptian Expeditionary Force.

28th January 1919, Probate - Edmonds Leonard, of 242 Burrage Road, Plumstead, Kent. Lieutenant Royal West Kent Regiment, died 3rd November 1917, in Palestine. Administration London 28th January to Sarah Edmonds, widow. Effects £148 18s 6d. 

Buried at Beersheba War Cemetery, G. 7., Israel.


London Gazette 20th November 1915.

The under mentioned Second Lieutenants to be temporary. Dated 16th November, 1915. Leonard Edmonds.

London Gazette 18th October 1916.

The under mentioned are transferred from Reserve to Regular Battalions as temporary Officers, with dates of seniority as stated:
