25th June 1909, Southampton, Royal Mail Steam  Packet Company ship, "Aragon", desination Port, Santos, Brazil. 1st Class Passengers - Mr MacNicol; Master Douglas MacNicol, (adult of 12 years & upwards);  Master Donald MacNicol, (child under 12 years), all British/Scotch Nationality.

11th July 1915, Douglas Oswald MacNicol, age 23, Bank Clerk, Kerrymore? The Park New Ferry Cheshire, arrived Port of Liverpool from Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Royal Mail Steam  Packet Company ship, "Araguaya". Ports of voyage - Montevideo; Rio de Janerio; Bahia; Pernambuco; St Vincent; Lisbon; Leixoes; Vigo.

12th July 1917, posted Egypt.

6th December 1918, Probate - Douglas Oswald Macnicol, of Rua Sabara n.7 Sâs Paulo, Brazil. Second Lieutenant R.A.F. died 5th January 1918 in Egypt. Administration (limited) London 6th December to Sydney Thompson Solicitor Attorney of Donald MacNicol. Effects £184 8s 1d.

Buried at Ismailia War Memorial Cemetery, A. 40., Egypt.
