Second Lieutenant Alfred MARTIN, 1st Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action, 3rd September 1916, age 29.

Son of Henry & Dora Martin, of "Montrose," 20, Albany Road, Stroud Green, London.

Previously Private / Acting Corporal, Honourable Artillery Company, Service No.2714.

1st July 1915, posted BEF.

22nd April 1916, Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, Royal West Kent Regiment.

10th February 1917, Probate - Alfred Martin, of Doreen, 30 West Park Road, Kew Gardens, Surrey. Temporary Second Lieutenant died 3rd September 1916 in France. Probate London 10th February to Herbert Charles Clyde, merchant. Effects £1411 3s 2d.

Buried at Guillemont Road Cemetery, III. F. 8., Guillemont, France.

NOTE - On Medal Card, name changed to MARTIN from CEBHART.
