Formerly served in 3rd Battalion, 6615, Special Reserve, Royal West Kent Regiment.

Son of Thomas & Ellen Swinyard, 27 Ludwick Road, New Cross.

Husband of Catherine SWinyard (nee Booth), 4 West Grove Terrace, Greenwich. Married 8th January 1916, Chatham Kent

9th September 1908, appointed unpaid Lance Corporal; 3rd February 1909, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 20th May 1909, resigns lance stripe at own request; 28th March 1911, appointed unpaid Lance Corporal; 10th June 1911 appointed paid Lance Corporal; 24th November 1911, reverts to Private; 30th November 1914, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 22nd November 1915, promoted Corporal; 23rd December 1915, appointed paid Lance Sergeant; 7th March 1916 appointed Acting Sergeant; 20th March 1916, gun shot wound to right arm; 3rd June 1916 appointed paid Lance Sergeant; 3rd August 1916, appointed Acting Sergeant; 17th August 1916, promoted Sergeant; 9th April 1917, wounded in action; 15th November 1917 to 24th November 1917, Furlough from Hospital; 11th February 1918, transferred and attached to 51st Battalion, Middlesex Regiment; 1st May 1918, to be released for shipbuilding; 20th March 1919, Ceased to be attached to 51st Battalion, Middlesex Regiment, transferred to Reserve and demobilized to 4 Alpha Road, New Cross, SE14. March 1921 residing at 110 Norman Road, Greenwich, SE10.
