The KING has been graciously pleased to approve of the under mentioned rewards for distinguished service in connection with Military Operations with the Armies in France and Flanders:

AWARDED THE DISTINGUISHED CONDUCT MEDAL

His Majesty The KING has been graciously pleased to approve of the award of the Distinguished Conduct Medal to the under mentioned Warrant Officers, Non-commissioned Officers, and Men, for gallantry and distinguished service in the Field:

Serjeant T HAYNES, L/10114, 1st Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment. (Sevenoaks)

With the exception of three very short periods of absence due to wounds he has served continuously with the battalion ever since 1914. He has always displayed the greatest gallantry under fire and shown very  marked devotion to duty:
