25th June 1919, Infantry Records Office letter to, Mrs A Marsden, 21 Blithdale Road, Plumstead, Kent - "Madam, The attached will of the late James Davies of 20 Blithdale Road, Plumstead, is returned with thanks. The "1914 Star" and any other medals that may be awarded to the late soldier above named will be forwarded to * Mr John Davies, 24 Corbut Street, Salford, Manchester." * eldest surviving brother.


Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 & 47, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
