Son of Alfred & Sarah Eldridge, 35 Beaconsfield Terrace, Bexhill, Sussex / 69 Little Common Road, Bexhill, Sussex.

Previously served Royal West Kent Regiment, enlisted 31st January 1910, Hastings, Sussex, age 18, height 5ft 8 inches, weight 129lbs, Service No.9330, Formerly ironmongers assistant. 31st January 1910, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 11th May 1910, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st March 1911, appointed Lance Corporal; 22nd May 1911, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 27th August 1912, reverted to Private. Home, 31st January 1910 to 26th October 1912. Discharged by purchase, £18, 25th October 1912. Money provided by Mrs Lizzie Eldridge, 73 Little Common Road, Bexhill, Sussex.

Previously served in 5th Battalion, (Cinque Ports), Sussex, Regiment.

Nine Pounds (£9) being half purchase money has been credited to account on re-enlistment.

12th March 1917, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued

Pension of 10/3 a week for 6 months, conditional.
