Enlisted Tonbridge, Kent, age 20 years & 9 months, height 5ft 6¼ inches.  Resided Tanyard Cottages, Tudeley, Kent. Formerly cowman.

28th January 1916, enlisted; 29th January 1916, to Army Reserve; 17th March 1916, mobilized; 20th March 1916, posted  Middlesex Regiment, Service No.6475; 2nd October 1916, Folkestone, embarked; 2nd October 1916, Boulogne, disembarked; 2nd October 1916, posted 1/7th Middlesex Regiment; 14th October 1916, transferred to 4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, posted 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th November 1916, wounded in action; 20th November 1916, 13 Canadian Field Ambulance, wounded, gun shot wound right elbow; 21st November 1916, Boulogne,  2 Australian General Hospital, dangerously ill, gun shot wound right elbow & double basal pleurisy; 30th November 1916, Mr H Flint of Tanyard Cottages, Tudeley, Tonbridge accompanied by Sydney Clifton of Park Farm Cottages, Sarnmon? Hill Tonbride proceeds today to visit his son.
