Children - Grace Emily Bruce, born 26th October 1910, Gillingham, Kent; Dora May Bruce, born 6th August 1912, Gillingham, Kent; Elsie Vera Bruce, born 6th May 1915, Gillingham, Kent.

Home, 29th September 1917 to 24th December 1917.

11th December 1915, enlisted; 12th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 29th September 1917, mobilized; 30th September 1917, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd October 1917, posted to Army Pay Corps Hounslow, on two months probation; 11th October 1917, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment.

24th December 1917, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness. Silver War Badge issued

Pension of 27/6 a week for 4 weeks, then 8/3 a week to be reviewed in 48 weeks.
