Born 12th November 1899, Tynemouth, Northumberland, son of Thomas Draon? & Mary Elizabeth Buglass, 10 Wingrove Road, Newcastle - on Tyne.
Enlisted Newcastle - on Tyne, age 18, height 6ft, weight 132lbs, resided 10 Wingrove Road, Newcastle - on Tyne. Formerly clerk.
12th November 1917, enlisted into Royal Flying Corps as old fracture of left ankle would not withstand marching in heavy boots; 9th January 1918, compulsorily transferred from No.2. RFC Cadet Wing, Hastings, to Royal West Kent Regiment for posting to 20th Reserve Battalion, London Regiment at Infantry rate of pay.
7th June 1918, discharged as "being surplus to military requirements" due to sickness. Silver War Badge issued
Disability for which invalided, old fracture of left ankle, done in June 1915. Decision of Medical Board, reject for Service .
Liable to be sent a Statutory Order on 7th June 1919 requiring him to present himself for medical re-examination under the Military Review of Exceptions Act 1917.
